Calgary police have charged a 35-year old man in connection to the death of a man whose remains were recovered west of the city in June.

Giama was last seen by a family member on February 17, 2014 at a home in the Woodbine area and his vehicle was located in the southwest on March 19.

Police searched the Calgary area and investigators believed Giama was likely murdered.

His remains turned up on the Stoney Nakoda First Nation at the end of June and police say it is believed he died as the result of an altercation.

Kevin Douglas Dalton, 35, was arrested on Friday morning at an address in southeast Calgary without incident.

Dalton has been charged with manslaughter and committing an indignity to a human body.

Police say they believe the victim and the accused were known to one another and are not looking for any further suspects in the case.
