Calgary police have upgraded the charge against a 21-year-old man in connection to the shooting death of a woman on a downtown street back in August.

Natasha Mohamed Farah, 26, was shot and killed at about 3:00 a.m. near 11 Avenue and 1st Street S.W. on Saturday, August 23, 2014.

On Monday, Calgary police upgraded that charge to second-degree murder.

Ibrahim is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 19, 2014.
