Police have released the identity of a man found dead in an alley in the city’s southwest last weekend.
The body of Christopher Stephen Tooley, 33, was found in an alley in the 700 block of 12 Avenue S.W. on Sunday at about 11:15 p.m. after police responded to reports of a disturbance in the area.
Investigators believe Tooley met up with someone and that an altercation took place and say drugs may have played a role in his death.
Police say he was robbed of his bag and that the offender fled the area on foot.
An autopsy has been completed but the cause of death is not being released and police are waiting on the medical examiner to determine if Tooley’s death is a homicide.
