Police are investigating after a man has been sent to hospital following a shooting outside a home in the southeast Calgary community of Ogden.
The victim was driven to hospital, right into the ambulance bay where he was rushed inside for treatment.
Police say the driver isn’t a suspect in the shooting.
The victim is now at Foothills in critical condition, having undergone surgery.
Investigators have traced the incident to a home in the 8000 block of 25 St. S.E.
They say the man was shot around 9 p.m.
They also don't believe that this is a random incident.
It was initially believed that the man was shot with a starter pistol but investigation has confirmed that an actual firearm was used.
Police are interviewing a number of people but have no suspects in the case.
