Police have laid charges against two men in connection with a break and enter robbery at a southeast Calgary shooting range and are seeking the whereabouts of a third man.

On October 11, 2012, police were called to the Calgary Shooting Centre in the 7100 block of Fisher Rd. S.E. at about 3:35 a.m.

They found that the offenders had gotten inside the building by smashing a window and breaking through the metal security bars.

Once inside, they smashed several display cases and stole 37 handguns.

Police have recovered only seven.

The 30 remaining weapons are very much a concern for the Calgary Police Service, says Staff Sergeant Dale Flemming. "We continue to maintain our vigilance on those outstanding weapons. The serial numbers have been entered into our national databank. Our front line officers, covert surviellance units, partners with combined forces have all been alerted to this."
