An Air Canada flight from Toronto to Calgary had to land in Lethbridge after hail cracked the plane’s windshield on Saturday afternoon.
The airline confirmed that Flight AC1159 ran into hail on its approach into Calgary when the damage occurred. The Captain diverted to the nearest airport in Lethbridge where the plane landed safely.
The airline is setting up ground transportation to Calgary’s airport for the 144 passengers on board. there were no injuries.
