The Calgary Police Service has released photos of two suspects in connection with a Thursday morning incident at a Castleridge home where a resident was allegedly threatened.

Shortly before 6:00 a.m., officers responded to a home on Castleridge Crescent Northeast after two men allegedly arrived at the home and threatened to shoot one of the residents. The suspects fled the area prior to the arrival of police.

Police have identified the suspects as 18-year-old Gaiven Singh Mahal and 28-year-old Davinder Singh Sanghera.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Mahal on charges of uttering threats.

Mahal is described as:

  • A South Asian male
  • 175 cm (5’9”) tall
  • Weighing 82 kg (180 lbs)
  • Having brown eyes and black hair

Sanghera is wanted on unrelated charges in connection with theft and breach of conditions.

Sanghera is described as:

  • A South Asian male
  • 180 cm (5’11”) tall
  • Weighing 77 kg (170 lbs)
  • Having brown eyes and black hair
  • Having a tattoo of a lion’s face on his upper right arm

Police have not confirmed any connection between the Castleridge incident and a Falconridge traffic stop where a CPS member discharged his weapon that occurred shortly after the threats.
