Rafting down the Bow River is a favorite way for Calgarians to beat the heat and Sunday was no exception.

Many put their boats in the river for a day of rafting.

The flood of 2013 changed both the Bow and Elbow rivers so the fire department spent much of the day patrolling the water to make sure everyone stayed safe and followed the rules.

With the temperature expected to remain high until next weekend, the rivers will likely be a busy place all week.
