An investigation has been launched into two Sunday morning fires in the southeast which occurred in close proximity to one another.
At 5:00 a.m., firefighters responded to an alleyway in Forest Lawn, in the 900 block of 39 St. S.E. and encountered a detached garage fully engulfed in flames. While crews attended to the blaze, a utility shed fire was reported at 5:15 a.m. in the 3900 block of Fonda Way, approximately two blocks north of the initial fire.
Crews successfully extinguished both fires. No injuries have been reported.
An investigation into the two fires is underway.
