Emergency crews were called to the Calgary Courts Centre on Monday afternoon for a small fire on one of the upper floors.

The blaze broke out at the building at 601 5 Street SW just before 4:00 p.m. and was put out by someone at the scene.

The fire caused the alarms to go off in the building and people were moved out of the facility while firefighters ventilated the area and checked the air quality.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
