A memorial service was held on Tuesday for Zackariah Rathwell, who was among the five young people murdered at a northwest home last week.

Friends and family gathered at the Centre Street Church at 1:30 p.m. to remember the young musician and student.

The Rathwell family extended the memorial invitation to everyone in the city saying "We know that the City of Calgary is grieving for the loss of these bright young people."

Zackariah's brother Mason spoke at the service saying, "Zack is gone but he's never forgotten and I know that because his pride will live on in me forever. I love you Zack."

Rathwell was the lead singer in the band Zackriah and the Prophets and attended ACAD.

His family says this has been the worst week of their lives but the stories shared by friends has made it a little easier.

His father, James told the congregation, "We all love you Zackariah. Sleep tight my little bear. Pleasant dreams. Don't forget mommy and daddy love you with all our hearts."

A trust fund has been established in Rathwell’s honour to help students pursuing the arts.

Donations to the Zackariah James Rathwell Trust Fund can be made at any RBC location.

The funeral for the fifth and final victim, Lawrence Hong, will take place on Wednesday afternoon also at the Centre Street Church.

Funerals for Jordan Segura, Kaiti Perras, and Josh Hunter were held on Monday.

We have set up a tribute page HERE, for people to add stories and condolences.
