Gas prices are continuing to fall throughout the province, in the mid-60s in Calgary and below that in Edmonton, and some analysts say that it's not likely that they've hit rock bottom yet.

The prices at some pumps in Calgary have been set as low as 66.4 cents per litre, but that's not even the lowest price you can find in the city.

If you go to Domo or have a Costco membership, you can find regular gas for about 62.9 cents a litre.

However, not all stations are following suit so far, with a handful of them with prices still in the mid-70s.

According to GasBuddy.com, a website which reports gas prices in major centres in Canada and the U.S., the average price per litre in the city is 70.2 cents.

Drivers in the provincial capital are paying even less, with the price per litre in Edmonton dipping below 60 cents.

Edmontonians haven't seen prices like that in over ten years.

Petroleum analyst Dan McTeague says the reason for that is because there are three refineries in the Edmonton area, which helps drive the wholesale price of gas down.

He expects to see even cheaper prices at the pump in the coming days.

On Wednesday, the price of a barrel of oil remains under $30 US.
