The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a young female.
At approximately 3:15 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to a home on Erin Ridge Rd. S.E following reports of a person in medical distress.
According to EMS, on arrival, the responding EMS crew immediately requested medical backup.
A female patient, age not released, was transported to the Peter Lougheed Hospital in life threatening condition.
Officials with the Calgary Police Service confirm the ‘young person’ succumbed to their undisclosed injuries in hospital on Friday.
The Medical Examiner is expected to conduct an autopsy on Monday.
