Members of the Strathmore RCMP detachment have arrested and charged a 38-year-old man following an investigation into a Thursday morning assault at a business in a hamlet east of Calgary city limits.

At approximately 6:20 a.m., officers responded to a Langdon business following reports of an assault. An injured woman was located and transported by ambulance to a Calgary area hospital in stable but serious condition.

On Thursday afternoon, RCMP members arrested 38-year-old Patrick Geddes of Langdon in connection to the assault.

Geddes faces charges of:

  • Attempted murder
  • Aggravated sexual assault
  • Forcible confinement

Police have not located the suspect vehicle in connection to the assault.
