Members of the Lethbridge Regional Police Service (LRPS) are asking for public assistance in locating the suspect or suspects responsible for two Wednesday evening business holdups, the latest in a string of armed robberies.

At approximately 9:20 p.m., a masked man entered the Husky gas station in the 700 block of 13 Street North. The suspect was armed with a gun and demanded cash from the employee. Police have not disclosed the actions of the gas station employee but the suspect fled empty handed. No one was injured in the incident.

Roughly 30 minutes later, a masked man with a similar description to the Husky attempted robbery suspect entered the Subway restaurant in the 1600 block of Mayor Magrath Drive South. The suspect produced a gun and demanded cash from the sandwich artist. The employee complied with the suspect’s demand and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect in the robbery attempts is described as:

  • A Caucasian male
  • In his mid-twenties
  • Between 173 and 178 cm (5’8” and 5’10)” tall
  • Having a medium build

The robbery suspect was wearing a grey hoodie, a black mask, black gloves, black pants and black shoes.

Police have released surveillance camera images of the suspect in Wednesday’s robberies and images of the suspects in Monday night’s armed robberies of Gas Plus and Neighbours locations. LRPS members continue to investigate the four robbery attempts and have not ruled out the possibility the offences are linked.

Anyone having information about any of the armed robberies is asked to contact the Lethbridge Regional Police Service, 403-328-4444, or Crime Stoppers.
