For the second time in nearly three years, a vehicle crashed through the exterior wall of a popular southwest coffee house.

Late Saturday morning, a Tesla left the Glenmore Landing parking lot and smashed through the window of a Starbucks location, covering the store’s floor with shattered glass and twisted metal.

According to witnesses, approximately 40 people were inside the shop at the time of the crash.

One witness account indicated the Tesla appeared to accelerate on its own and the driver attempted to turn the wheel to avoid a collision with the building. No injuries have been reported.

The store was closed for several hours but business resumed shortly before 2:30 p.m.

This is not the first time a vehicle has made its way into the Glenmore Landing Starbucks location. In May of 2012, a car plowed through the east wall of the store and the driver was transported by ambulance to hospital.
