A 20-year-old Airdrie man is expected to appear in court in connection with a fight in the northwest quadrant of that city involving a firearm.

In the early morning hours of July 30, police were called to respond to a fight in progress.

When police got there, they found two men and a gun at the scene.

They say both men were known to each other.

Trey Wylie, 20, has been charged with:

  • Robbery with a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Assault with a weapon

Wylie is expected to make his first court appearance at Airdrie Provincial Court.

Investigators believe the other man involved was the victim of a robbery,
