The Calgary Police Service is asking for assistance from the public in connection to the search for a 28-year-old man who is considered a high risk offender.

Early Friday morning, officers attended the approved residence of Kevin Ronald Brooks at an undisclosed location in Calgary after an alarm sounding indicating the felon’s electronic monitoring device had been removed.

Brooks, who was released in June after serving a seven year sentence for manslaughter, has not been located.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Brooks on the following charges:

  • Not residing at an approved location
  • Failing to abide by a daily curfew check
  • Not wearing a court approved electronic monitoring device

Brooks is described as:

  • A Caucasian male
  • Weighing approximately 73 kg (160 lbs)
  • 183 cm (6’) tall
  • Brown hair
  • Brown eyes
  • Having multiple tattoos including a large neck tattoo and tear drops descending from the corner of his right eye
