In addition to causing havoc on the roads, the wintry weather is also causing chaos at Calgary International Airport.

There are a number of cancelled flights at the airport already on Friday.

A majority of the affected flights are all within Canada with destinations like Winnipeg, Grande Prairie, and Comox.

Both Air Canada and WestJet are advising that if you are flying out on Friday, you should check your flight status before you head out the door.

Flight information can be found here for Air Canada passengers and here for those flying on WestJet.
