Alberta's political candidates are in the final days of campaigning and the mudslinging continues.

The Wildrose party says an anonymous employee from St. Michael School in Calgary has come forward, alleging that the PC candidate for Calgary-Currie, Christine Cusanelli, has been abusing her position as school principal to support her campaign.

The Wildrose alleged Cusanelli has been actively campaigning on school property, even sending students home with PC election material which includes campaign lawn signs.

Earlier this month Cusanelli called police after she started getting some harrassing calls from the public.

Several of her signs were destroyed and then left there.

She also says crude comments, directed at her, have been posted on her website.

On Tuesday, Cusanelli said the allegations by the Wildrose are false and that basing them on one anonymous source is just bad politics.

"My role as a principal is to inform my public about, my parents my community about what is happening with me. As a leader of the school it is important that they know where the leadership is going to be in the coming months so I've been very, very upfront with my parents and shared with them when I would be on leave or coming back or perhaps winning this election," said Cusanelli.

The PC Party issued a release on Tuesday afternoon demanding an apology from the Wildrose.

The Catholic School Board says Cusanelli cleared everything about her candidacy through them and that they have not received any complaints from staff or parents.
