For almost 20 years Jacquie Scantlebury has anchored and produced Southern Alberta’s most watched newscast the CTV Lethbridge News at 5.

Jacquie got her start in broadcasting while still in college anchoring, reporting and cohosting the AM 1140 radio morning show in High River. She then moved to Medicine Hat to work at CHAT 1270 AM radio and went on to launch MY96 FM radio with the “Jacquie and the Bear” morning show all while reporting and eventually anchoring at CHAT TV.

Jacquie joined CTV in 2001 where she has reported nationally on the BSE crisis and was nominated for a national award for her reporting of a family who lost their home in a Christmas Eve fire.  She also anchored and produced of the newscast that won CTV Lethbridge the 2012 Bert Cannings Best Newscast for Small Market in both Prairie and National categories.

Coming from small town Manitoba Jacquie understands the importance of community and has volunteered to help a variety of groups including mentally challenged children and adults, animals, seniors and at a hospital emergency department. Jacquie speaks English.

Jacquie has a Bachelor or Arts Degree from the University of Manitoba and Broadcast Journalism Diploma from Mount Royal College.
