The Calgary Stampeders’ touchdown mascot may be benched in Calgary during this year’s Grey Cup after officials at the Rogers Centre said there is no room for the mighty mustang.

Karyn Drake rides Quick Six and says she was told on Monday that she would not be travelling to Toronto for the 100th Grey Cup.

The team was told that there isn't room for the horse at Rogers Centre.

The pair race down the east sideline when the Stamps score a touchdown and the practice has been a Calgary tradition for years.

Drake  is a former Stampede Queen and Miss Calgary and has been leading the touchdown charge since 1993.

She has participated in six Grey Cup games so far and hopes to be at this year’s event.

The Stampeders are negotiating with the facility to see if they can accommodate the horse and its entourage.

The players and coaching staff have already arrived in Toronto to get ready for the game on Sunday.
