Another American retailer is about to jump into the Canadian market place and is getting ready to open its first store north of the border on Friday.
Nordstrom will open its doors at Chinook Centre on September 19 and will kick things off with an early morning Beauty Bash outside its first floor mall entrance.
The cosmetics counter will open early with complimentary consultations and demonstrations from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and the first 2,000 customers will receive an exclusive commemorative tote bag, while supplies last.
“We’re really excited. Again we’ve been anticipating this opening for a long time now so its going to be great,” said Debra Redmond, Beauty and Fragrance Director.
The store officially opens at 9:30 a.m. and more than 530 employees have been working to get the store ready for the big day.
The fashion retailer has been in business since 1901 and started with a small shoe shop in Seattle.
