Crews are at the scene of a fatal crash on Highway 2, just south of High River, on Thursday morning.

At about 6:47 a.m., crews were called to the scene of a single vehicle rollover.

Alberta Sheriffs tweeted the following information, along with a photo of the incident:

EMS have also confirmed that they are at the scene, and say that one person was killed at the scene.

One person, a woman, was flown to Foothills Hospital by STARS in critical, life-threatening condition. Two others, a male and a female, in serious but stable condition, have been sent hospital by ground ambulance.

Sergeant Brent Hawker with the High River RCMP says alcohol was not involved in the crash, but isn't sure if speed was a factor. "The silver F-150 left the northbound lanes and hit the median. It vaulted into the air and then came to a rest. As a result of the vault, one male passenger was ejected."

The northbound lanes of Highway 2 were closed for a short period of time for the investigation into the crash.

They have since been reopened.
