The Lethbridge Police Service says that a woman has died in an early morning crash on Friday.
Officers were called to the scene of a single vehicle crash in the 800 block of Stafford Drive N. at 2:30 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old woman, was declared dead at the scene.
Two passengers suffered minor injuries.
Police shut down Stafford Drive between 7 and 9 Avenue for their investigation that lasted several hours and determined that both speed and alcohol contributed to the crash.
The name of the victim has not been released.
The road reopened for traffic at 8:30 a.m.
