One person is in hospital following an early morning house fire in northwest Calgary.
Fire crews were called to a home on Evansbrook Way N.W. early Wednesday.
When they got there, they found smoke coming from the basement of the home.
Firefighters entered the building and extinguished the fire.
One man was home at the time and was subsequently transported to hospital for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
