The provincial government is promising to help rebuild  heritage properties damaged during the June 2013 flood.

The province has earmarked $800,000 for 12 heritage homes which sustained damage.

The buildings are in Calgary, Medicine Hat, the M.D. of Foothills, and High River.

The Robert and Mary Taylor residence in Calgary will receive on of the largest grants totalling $217,540.  It completed an engineering study and most of the money will be used to repair or replace the foundation.

Two other Calgary heritage sites, the Butters Residence and Dr. Crawford Residence may also be restored with the help of provincial grants, but first both owners will be using the intial grants for structural and engineering studies.

The owner of the Butters residence will receive $12,860 and the owner of the Dr. Crawford Residence will receive $19,845.

The owners of three heritage buildings in High River will also receive funding.
