The Calgary Police say that two people who were found dead inside a northeast townhouse in October were the victims of a murder-suicide.
The police made the announcement on Wednesday after they completed their investigation.
They were called to an apartment in the 200 block of Templegreen Drive N.E. on October 31 by the resident manager of the complex.
The manager said that the pair who lived in the unit hadn’t been seen or heard from for days before the incident.
When police entered the unit, they found the bodies of 27-year-old Amiben Prajapati and 32-year-old Hiren Prajapati.
Police say that Amiben was the victim of a homicide.
She died as a result of a stabbing.
Hiren died of asphyxiation.
Amiben Prajapati is Calgary’s 15th homicide of 2012.
