Calgary police and RCMP have charged eight people as a result of a drug trafficking investigation that removed over $1 Million in drugs from city streets.

The Calgary Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU-Calgary) executed warrants on six Calgary residences over several months and seized over $1 million in various drugs and nearly $100,000 cash.

“When it comes to investigating organized crime, police create a more lasting impact on public safety when we disrupt a group’s core business,” explained CFSEU-Calgary Insp. Gerry François. “While I think it’s fair to say we’ve accomplished that here with these significant arrests and seizures, we know our work doesn’t stop now.”

Police seized the following:

  • Nearly eight kilograms of cocaine and crack cocaine
  • 640 grams of methamphetamine
  • 2,800 Oxycodone tablets
  • 247 grams of marihuana
  • Over eight litres of Gamma Hydroxy Butarate (GHB)
  • 904 grams of MDMA
  • 45 ecstasy tablets
  • 795 vials of steroids

Police also seized:

  • Nearly 34,000 prescription pills
  • Over 35 kilograms of a cutting agent
  • $96,311 cash
  • Eight vehicles

Investigators also found a pill press, a cocaine press, a conducted energy device, 33 cell phones and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.

The Calgary Police Service, RCMP and Canada Border Services Agency provided assistance during the investigation.

The following people are charged:

  • Seth Micah Westergard, 32, is charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, and one count each of production of a controlled substance and possession of a prohibited weapon.
  • Christopher Lloyd Greene, 31, is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.
     
  • Joshua Patrick Feagan, 27, and Jessica Catherine Marshall, 28, are charged with seven counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and one count each of possession of property obtained by crime and production of a controlled substance.
  • Kamila Ravshanovna Baikova, 22, Jesse Carl Baker, 29, are each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
     
  • Melissa Sue Shenfield, 28, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime.
  • Ashley Aaron Cuthbert Mawdsley, 31, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Police say Feagan and Mawdsley, and another 33-year-old man who was not charged in this case, were on parole at the time of their arrests. Their parole has now been revoked.

Police say that all the drugs combined have an estimated street value of over $1.2 million.
