Calgary police are investigating after several shots were fired at a northeast home on Monday morning.

Police were called to the area near a group of homes on Rundleside Drive just after 1:00 a.m.

A number of residents in the area say they were woken up by several loud bangs.

When police arrived, they found a number of casings on the ground and bullet holes in one of the homes.

Investigators say that this isn’t the first time the home has been hit by gunfire.

This home was targeted back on New Year's Day and officers were called to the area at about 11:30 p.m. for reports of a drive-by shooting.

That shooting eventually led police to execute a search warrant on a home on 80 Avenue N.E. and four people were arrested on firearms and drugs charges.

In April 2014, police were called to the same area, for gunshots fired at the same house.

No one was injured in this latest shooting.

Residents in the area say they're are concerned.

"I was just sitting watching TV with my husband and we heard six quick gunshots," said Bry-Ann Duh. "I roll out of bed, call the police, telling them I heard gunshots. They asked where is came from and I told them it was hard to tell in this area with this big park right there and all the garages. I know there's this house that's been targeted before."

Duh says that whoever lives at the home at the centre of the investigation needs to stop doing whatever they're doing. "There's a lot of kids here. My daughter's room is just right here at the front of the house. I got up out of bed to go check on her, just in case."

Investigators are looking for suspects and are also trying to determine a motive for the shooting.
