Calgary police are looking into an attempted night time break and enter at a southwest Calgary apartment building.
Investigators say that a woman heard a noise at one of the windows of her apartment, in the 1900 block of 26 Street S.W., at about 1:00 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2012.
The woman saw a person with a flashlight, who quickly ran off.
She was woken up several hours later when she heard the same sound again, but this time she didn’t see anyone.
Police say that there was evidence that someone had attempted to pry open the window.
They are reminding residents to ensure their homes are always secured, regardless of whether or not their residence is occupied, and to immediately report any suspicious activity to police.
