Police investigated a serious collision on the QEII Highway north of Crossfield that rerouted traffic around the scene for about a half hour.
Emergency crews were called to reports that a motorcycle had hit the centre barrier while travelling southbound on the highway near Township Road 292 at about 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.
STARS has been called to the scene and transported the 66-year-old driver to a Calgary hospital in serious but stable condition.
There is no word yet on injuries and police are investigating the cause of the crash.
