Officers are investigating after a man’s body was found in the city’s southwest.

Calgary police were called to the 10300 block of Macleod Trail S.W. at about 8 o’clock Saturday morning with reports of a man in medical distress.

When officers arrived, a man in his 40’s was found lying dead in a parking lot.

Police say the death is suspicious and the Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is taking over the investigation.

The man’s identity is not known yet. 

An autopsy is scheduled for early next week to determine the cause of death.
