Calgary police are investigating after a man who was sent to hospital following a fatal crash died of his injuries.

A 60-year-old man was rushed to hospital in critical, life threatening condition after the vehicle he was driving on McKnight Blvd. crashed and rolled at about 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

He later died in hospital.

Police say the man, who has not yet been identified, was ejected from the car.

They still aren’t sure what caused the eastbound car to leave the road.

McKnight Blvd. near Metis Trail was closed for several hours for the investigation.

They are still speaking to witnesses to learn all they can about the crash.
