A week after a huge snowstorm hit Calgary and Southern Alberta, the city has been hit by even more snow.

Though it lacked the volume of the storm on December 2, drivers are still needing to contend with strong winds and a severe lack of visibility on the road.

Motorists are still having a tough time dealing with the slippery conditions, as Calgary Police report there were 241 crashes on city streets, with 24 of those involving minor injuries.

Emergency crews were kept busy on Deerfoot Trail on Sunday, with a major crash shutting down the soutbound lanes at 64 Ave.

That crash involved several cars and a semi.

Police say the semi slid sideways on the road, catching a patch of black ice.

They’re reminding residents once again to take extra time as well as an extra bit of caution while on their drive into work on Monday.
