Calgary police have released images of a third man wanted in connection to a shooting at a nightclub in the Beltline on the weekend and hope that someone will come forward with information about his identity.

Police were called to Ten X at 1140 10 Avenue SW at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday for reports of a shooting and say two men waited in a vehicle outside the club while a third walked up to the front door and fired several shots inside.

Bar staff tackled the alleged shooter and held him until police arrived. The driver of the vehicle was also apprehended and both were arrested.

Mohamed Elmi, 31, and Mohamed Salad, 29, both of Calgary, have been charged with:

• Attempted Murder
• Discharge firearm with intent to endanger life
• Unauthorized possession of a firearm
• Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle
• Possession of firearm with altered or defaced serial number
• Aggravated assault
• Pointing a firearm

A 38-year-old man inside the bar was hit and taken to hospital in stable condition.

Police say a third man was initially detained by officers at the scene but he left the area when officers turned their attention to secure the area and make the arrests.

The man is described as:

  • Black
  • 178 cm or 5’10” tall
  • Between 20 and 30 years old
  • Was wearing white pants and a beige-coloured sweater

Police say the shooting is not believed to be connected to several other acts of violence in the city over the past several months.
