Calgary police are asking for help from the public as they attempt to identify a man who allegedly masturbated in front of two women in Dover Sunday afternoon.

Officers were called to a park in 3400 block of 31A Avenue Southeast shortly after 1:30 p.m. following reports of a lewd act.

According to police, two females were spending their afternoon in the greenspace when they were approached by an unknown man. The suspect stopped approximately 15 metres from the women and proceeded to unzip his pants and pleasure himself.

The women shouted at the man and called 9-1-1.

The suspect fled the park on foot and was last seen heading north in a neighbouring alleyway.

Witness descriptions indicate the man was:

  • Caucasian
  • Believed to be in his thirties or forties
  • Approximately 175 cm (5’9”) tall or possibly taller
  • Having a medium build
  • Greyish hair

At the time of the incident, the alleged suspect was wearing a white baseball cap, a red t-shirt, and baggy light blue jeans.
