Calgary police are looking for two suspects in the shooting death of a man at a residence in the community of Martindale.

Police were called at about 10:50 a.m. Friday for reports of multiple shots fired in the 100 block of Martinvalley Mews N.E.

Investigators confirm that one man is dead and one man was transported to hospital in critical condition with gunshot wounds.

No arrests have been made and police say that it does not appear to be a random incident.

“I think it’s safe to say that we believe it is drug related,” said CPS spokesperson Kevin Brookwell.

They are seeking two suspects who are described as:

  • Male
  • Dark skinned
  • Wearing masks

Police have not yet identified the deceased or the injured man and say they also don't know if they lived in the home.

"We're trying to determine who they both are, so we don't know until we can positively identify the individuals whether they lived there or what their connection is to the house," said Brookwell.

Police think the suspects fled on foot and say that the home was known to them.

"Criminal activity, mostly organized crime, drug type activity but yes, the house was known to us, we still don't know if these individuals were known to us,"said Brookwell.

The Homicide Unit is leading the investigation and is asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers anonymously, using any of the following methods:
