Calgary police are looking for a pair of suspects following an armed robbery at a northeast liquor store.

At just before midnight on June 24, a pair of men entered the Global Liquor store on Temple Drive N.E.

One tried to distract the employee inside while the second took a bottle of liquor off the shelf and tried to stuff it down his pants.

The pair was confronted by staff, prompting one of the suspects to pull out a gun.

One of the owners fought back with a bat and the men tried to escape, but got caught in the store’s double doors.

That’s when the man opened fire, hitting one owner in the arm.

The suspect kept on shooting, blasting through the locked door, allowing the pair to escape.

The investigation is ongoing.
