Calgary Police are looking for suspects after a man said he was attacked in the northwest community of Panorama Hills by a pair of men wielding a machete.

At about 8:30 p.m., police were called to the scene in the 1700 block of Panora View N.W. by a man who said he was attacked by two men, and believed he was targeted.

The victim sustained severe slashes and cuts to his arms and legs and was rushed to Foothills Hospital in critical condition.

One of the wounds even severed a major artery in his leg.

Investigators from the General Investigate Section are leading the search for suspects.

They’re waiting to speak to the victim, who is still being treated for his wounds.
