The Calgary police are looking for the public's help in finding a man who is alleged to be involved in tampering with bank machines in the city.

During the course of the incident, the suspect is thought to have stolen personal information about consumer's banking data and then used that in fraudulent transactions.

Robert Dorin Dragoescu, 28, is wanted on Canada-wide warrants for three charges of possessing instruments for skimming credit card data, as well as three counts of possessing instruments of credit card forgery.

Police say the incidents occurred at a Calgary bank between Mar. 30 and Apr. 1.

According to a release, Dragoescu arrived in Canada a few weeks ago, appearing to be travelling through the country.

He is described as:

  • Caucasian of Romanian descent
  • 5'10"
  • Thin build
  • Dark brown hair
  • Distinctive, pushed-in nose

He was seen wearing a tan-coloured ski jacket with blue trim, jeans, and either a light-coloured toque with long tassles or a dark ball cap.
