Thanks to the tireless efforts of city crews, a majority of the Calgary power grid has been restored one week after the flooding began.

Residents in Mission, Victoria Park, and Cliff Bungalow all had their power restored on Thursday night.

But before residents and business owners switch anything on, inspectors will still need to look over connections to make sure they’re safe.

The only sections that remain out are the eastern section of the downtown and the East Village.

ENMAX and the city say the underground network in those areas is still very wet and will need to be dried out before power is restored.
