The Alberta College of Paramedics said a software update may have exposed private information.

The compromise happened from 7:30 p.m. on Friday until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, during which time people could have generated new usernames and passwords to log in and view personnel names, emails and addresses.

It also says five people not registered with the ACP accessed it during the breach, and said an official notice has been mailed out to all practitioners and the college is working on the ramifications of the unauthorized access.

The ACP is investigating and said it will notify Alberta's privacy commissioner first thing Monday morning.
