RCMP is currently investigating the circumstances behind a body found on Highway 1 west of Calgary late Wednesday night.
At about 11:45 p.m., police were called to the area of Highway 1 between Highway 40 and Morley Road following reports of a man’s body at the side of the road.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the body and responding EMS confirmed that he was dead.
There is no information on his identity or how he died.
One eastbound lane of the highway was shut down while police investigated the scene.
