The RCMP in Cochrane are looking for a man and a woman who entered a high-end jewelry store and made off with a couple items valued at nearly $20,000.
Police say that at approximately 2:20 p.m. on December 17, the couple entered Goldtown Jeweler’s on 1 St. in Cochrane.
The male then leaned over the display case three times, opening it from the back and taking a ring, valued at $16,000, with the display box, and a gold necklace valued at $1,100.
The woman aided in the theft by blocking view of the actions of the male with her body.
The male is described as:
- heavy set
- 6’ tall
- wearing a white/light coloured baseball cap
- white outer jacket
- red shirt
- dark coloured pants/jeans
- white/light coloured shoes
The female is described as:
- heavy set
- 5’8” tall
- dark , straight, shoulder length hair
- wearing a dark blue winter jacket with yellow and red stripes on the shoulders
- black/dark coloured pants
- black/dark coloured shoes
The Cochrane RCMP is requesting the public’s help with any information regarding this incident and/or the suspects.
