A search warrant on a rural property near Balzac turned up an estimated $500,000 worth of machinery, all reported stolen from Leduc.
Police acted on the warrant on August 15 after a GPS, located on one of the pieces of equipment indicated that it was in Balzac.
The arborist equipment, valued at $99,000 was found on the property, and while there, police found numerous other pieces of equipment including fork lifts, skid loaders, trailers, and various other large and small items.
All are believed to be stolen.
Darin James of Balzac has been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and breaching a condition sentence order.
On August 15th, 2011, Beiseker/Airdrie Rural RCMP executed a search warrant on a rural property near Balzac. An estimated $500 000 worth of property was seized as a result of the warrant, and a local man was arrested and has been charged with several property related offenses.
