RCMP are asking for public assistance in locating a young man who faces first-degree murder charges in connection to the 2013 death of Lloyd Sarson in Red Deer.

A Canada Wide Warrant was issued for a teen's arrest on January 8, 2013, but he remains at large.

RCMP are offering $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

The teen was 17-years-old at the time of Sarson’s death and his identity was protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

RCMP believe the teen is associated with an organized crime group that has ties in Alberta, Manitoba, B.C., and Ontario. He is considered to be armed and dangerous and members of the public should not confront the murder suspect.

Anyone with information about the Red Deer homicide or the suspect's current whereabouts is asked to contact the RCMP Major Crimes Unit in Calgary, 403-519-7306 or 403-519-7307, or Crime Stoppers.

The body of 25-year-old Lloyd Robert Sarson was discovered in a vehicle in a Red Deer alleyway on New Year’s Day 2013. An autopsy determined Sarson’s death was the result of gunshot wounds.
