The countdown is on for the Feline Rescue Foundation of Alberta.  The charity has until October 31 to find a new home for about 100 cats.

Dawn Hanson, the founder of the charity, the Feline Rescue Foundation said she has been using space in a large building on Macleod Trail donated by the building’s owner Henninger Toyota.

However, the building has been sold  and will be torn down so the Feline Rescue Foundation has to move.

Hanson is hoping to find another donor who could offer her a large space, “we would really like to have 2,000 (square feet) again because it gives the cats ample amount of room, it’s a lot of floor space to clean, but it’s a nice pleasant space for the cats.”

Hanson and her volunteers specialize in caring for difficult and feral cats.  The cats are rescued from Calgary and rural areas outside the city.
