An upscale American department store is reportedly eyeing retail space in Calgary.
According to several reports, Nordstrom is opening four stores in Canada in Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa and here in Calgary.
Word is that the retailer will take over the Sears location at Chinook Centre.
Chinook Centre officials are not commenting and will only say that the Sears space has not been leased yet.
This is the latest big US chain to consider the move north as Target is set to open 125 locations in Canada next spring.
