The Saskatchewan Roughriders are in town Saturday night to take on the Calgary Stampeders in the first half of a home and home series.

Thousands of rider fans have made the pilgrimage to McMahon Stadium to cheer on their team and it's hard to ignore the throngs that make up the screaming green machine.

In an effort to stir up Stamps fans, the rider nation has purchased a billboard along 16th Ave. N.W. to antagonize the home town faithful.

The message is to educate Calgary fans, that if they want to see real devotion, "watch and learn" from the rider fans.

Stamps fans took exception to the advice from Riders fans and added a little red to the billboard to even the score.

They repainted the jersey on the Roughrider fan red and replaced the rider logo with the Stampeder stallion.

The riders are in first place in the west with a perfect 5 - 0 record and they are hoping to add to their lead by playing veteran quarterback Marcus Crandell.

The Stampeders are 3 -2 after a loss to Winnipeg last week.

Game time is at 6:00 P.M. at McMahon Stadium and couch coaches can catch the game on TSN.
